What to Look For Before Buying
Before getting into specific brands, it helps to know what separates a good oversized tee from a mediocre one.
GSM. Fabric weight. Anything under 150 GSM will go thin and lose shape fast. Look for 160–180 GSM for a tee that holds its structure over time.
Drop shoulder construction. A real oversized tee has the shoulder seam sitting lower than your natural shoulder. Without this you're just wearing a big regular tee.
Print quality. For graphic tees specifically, screen printing holds up significantly better than heat transfer. Screen prints don't crack or peel after a few washes.

Strong on basics and blanks. VIBGYOR has built a reputation for consistent quality on their plain oversized tees and they have a lot of customer reviews which makes sizing easier to figure out. Less interesting on the graphic side but solid if you're after plain coloured oversized tees.
Surteez
Known for a wide colour range on plain oversized tees. More accessible price point. Quality is decent for the price — not the heaviest fabric but consistent enough for everyday wear. Good if you're buying multiple colours at once and want to keep costs down.
Drap
More fashion-forward than pure streetwear. Drap sits slightly higher on price and leans into fits and fabrics beyond just the standard oversized tee. Worth looking at if you want something with a bit more variety in the cuts.
What's Changed in 2026
A few things worth knowing about where the market is right now:
More local brands are making proper heavyweight tees. 170–180 GSM used to be rare locally — most brands were working with 150 GSM or under. That's shifted.
Made-to-order is becoming more common. Smaller brands avoiding bulk inventory risk means limited stock per drop, faster sellouts, and generally better quality control.
Graphic tee design has improved. The generic "streetwear font on a black tee" approach is still around but there are more brands now putting actual thought into what's on the shirt.
COD is still the baseline expectation. Any brand not offering it is losing a significant chunk of the market.
